Yeri Roh

Yeri Roh, 26, a native of Seoul, South Korea, is a recipient of prizes from Strad Concours, Journal of Music Competition, Korea-Germany Brahms Association Competition, and American Protege International Piano & Strings Competition. During her studies at Juilliard, Ms. Roh was selected to join the  Juilliard Orchestra & Sibelius Academy Symphony Orchestra Tour with Esa-Pekka Salonen, performing in Helsinki Music Centre in Finland, and Berwaldhallen in Stockholm, Sweden. Ms.Roh was invited to participate in Leonidas Kavakos International Violin Masterclass in Athens, Greece, and has played with Sejong Soloists in Carnegie Hall’s Zankel Hall and Concert Hall in Seoul Arts Center in Korea. She also appeared as soloist in Carnegie Hall’s Weil Hall as a competition winner, and in Baruch Performing Arts Center, presented by Young Guest Artist by New York Piano Society. Ms. Roh has been a member of Versoi Ensemble, which is consisted of Juilliard students from the Sibelius Academy Tour, and appeared as both chamber musician and orchestra player in Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Music Center, Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall, David Geffen Hall, Granada Theatre in Santa Barbara with many internationally famed conductors such as Alan Gilbert, David Robertson, Edward Gardner, John Adams, Matthias Pintscher, and Sperenza Scapucci. Ms. Roh has been invited to participate in summer festivals including Academia Internacional de Musica de Solsona in Spain, Asago Internatinal Music Festival in Japan, Heifetz International Music Institute in Virginia, Singapore Violin Festival, Music Academy of the West, Kneisel Hall Chamber Music Festival & School, and Music in Pyeongchang MPYC Academy. Ms. Roh has shared stage with Mark Kaplan, Robert Vernon, Ralph Kirshbaum, and Oliver Kern, and has played for Lambert Orkis, Leonidas Kavakos, Rachel Podger, Pamela Frank, Glenn Dicterow, Shmuel Ashkenasi, Frank Huang, Martin Beaver, Kathleen Winkler, and Victor Danchenko. In September, 2019, Ms. Roh will be playing as soloist with Tel Aviv Soloists Ensemble under the baton of Barak Tal in Korea, as a finalist of Busan Maru International Music Festival Concerto Competition.  She obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Juilliard School under the tutelage of Hyo Kang, Adele Anthony, and Sylvia Rosenberg. Ms. Roh will continue her musical studies at Stony Brook University in this fall as a doctoral student
