Mio Sasaki

Mio Sasaki was born on July 29th 1997 in Japan. She studied in the class of Yoshio Unno. In 2008 and 2009, Mio won several first prizes at the German National Youth Music Competition. Since then, she has been a laureate of many national and international competitions such as Fukuyama Music Competition, Toyonaka Music Competition and International Agustin Aponte Music Competition. In 2013 she received an Cultural Honour from her hometown, Hirakata-City. Mio attended the masterclasses of Nicolas Chumachenco, Christian Altenburger and Tanja Becker-Bender. In 2018 she won the first prize at the internal competition of International Mendelssohn Summer Academy and she played as a soloist with Hamburger Symphoniker. In February 2019 she had a debut recital offered by the Hamburger Konservatorium. She is currently studying with Christoph Schickedanz at Hamburger Konservatorium.
