Ang Chen

Ang Chen, Born in China, began studying the violin at the age of 4. He is currently pursuing the Artist Diploma, the most advanced Diploma for the performance study, at the Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM), study with Professor Ilya Kaler since September of 2018. Before that, he earned the Master of Music degree at CIM in May of 2018, studied with Professor Jinjoo Cho. In June of 2016, his Bachelor of Music degree had earned at Central Conservatory of Music in China, where he was the recipient of the ‘Model Student of Academic Records’ and worked as a principal at the second violin section in China Youth Symphony Orchestra during September 2014 to June 2015. He was the student of professor Liang Chai and Bin Yu during 2012 to 2016. He won the fifth prize of Guangya Chengdu International Violin Competition at Chengdu, China, in September of 2014.
